FLYERS NEWS

Against the worst team in the league, the Winnipeg Jets, the Flyers actually found a way to be even sloppier than before and they almost found a way to win as well. Neither Ilya Bryzgalov nor Sergei Bobrovsky stood a chance behind the Flyer's defense tonight as they combined to let in 9 goals. Incredibly the Flyers actually scored 8 goals of their own and led in 3rd period 7-6, after being down 5-1 in the first period, thanks to 2 points by JVR in the opening minutes of the period. Then after the Jets rallied ahead 8-7 JVR tallied his 2nd goal of the night 3rd point of the period to not things up at 8, but it wasn't enough as the Flyers fell 9-8.
