Down 3-1 in the 1st period, the Flyers rallied back in the final 2 periods and eventually won in overtime 4-3 as Danny Briere scored the equalizer with about 6 min to play and then the game winner a little over 2 and a half min into OT.

In what's been an ugly season thus far, the Birds produced their ugliest performance to date this afternoon. While playing with two broken ribs Mike Vick threw for just 128 yards and 2 interceptions as the Eagles blew a 4th quarter lead for the 5th time this season, in a 21-17 loss to the Cardinals.

The Phils have signed closer Jonathan Papelbon to a 4 year $50 million deal. He will replace Ryan Madson as the Phils closer in 2012. Now that void is filled the Phils still must re-sign SS Jimmy Rollins, extend the contract of Cole Hamels, and perhaps add someone to play left field until Dom Brown is ready.

EAGLES NEWS
The Eagles played their best game of the season to date on this Sunday night. Mike Vick threw for 279 yards and 2 TDs, Lesean McCoy ran for 185 yards and 2 TDs, Brent Celek caught 7 balls for 94 yards and a TD and the Eagle's defense held the Cowboys scoreless through 3 quarters and under 300 yards for the night as the Birds dominated the Boys 34-7.
