PHILLIES NEWS
The Phils have signed closer Jonathan Papelbon to a 4 year $50 million deal. He will replace Ryan Madson as the Phils closer in 2012. Now that void is filled the Phils still must re-sign SS Jimmy Rollins, extend the contract of Cole Hamels, and perhaps add someone to play left field until Dom Brown is ready.

FLYERS NEWS
Leading 1-0 to begin the 3rd period, the Flyers couldn't hang on and eventually lost to the Tampa Bay Lightning in overtime 2-1. Scott Hartnell scored the Flyers lone midway through the 2nd period.
