How will Ryan Howard fare in tomorrow night's home run derby?
a. He will crush 'em just like Bobby Abreu did last year
b. He will have a big 1st round, but run out off gas and get knocked out in the 2nd round
c. Pulling the ball on every swing will prove to be too much and he will exit after the 1st round with 1 or 2 homers

Now that Howard has won, I hope he doesn't suffer the same second half swoon Abreu had last year.

Like I said I would have agreed with you, but we were both wrong

Like I mentioned in my most recent post, that is what I am hoping too, but I also feel like he will be just fine the rest of the year. He didn't hit 41 homers like Abreu did last year, he only had a modest 23, andv he is by baseball standards just a kid, so he should still have plenty gas left in the tank. Now what would really be nice is if the guy he beat David Wright were to fizzle down the stretch. Then maybe, just maybe the Phillies would have a chance to catch the Mets for the divisional crown.
