It Was Over When....

Correll Buckhalter capped off a 70 yard drive with a 1 yard touchdown run, putting the Eagles up for good 23-7, with about 8:00 minutes left to play in the game.

The Game Ball Goes To....

The Eagles' offense which amassed 426 total yards(222 passing and 204 rushing) and chewed up over 37 minutes of game clock. Jeff Garcia who passed for 153 yards and 1 touchdown, and Brian Westbrook ,who rushed for 122 yards on 26 carries, led the way, but in the end, the night proved to be a total team effort as the only touchdowns scored by the Eagles on the night went to backup tight end Matt Schobel, and backup running back Correll Buckhalter as previously stated.

The Stat Of The Game Is....

205, as in 205 rushing yards for the Eagles on the night. Incredibly, the Cowboy's have not allowed a team to rush for that many yards against them at Texas Stadium since 2000 when the 49ers rushed for 261 yards against them, during the game in which Terrell Owens, then with the Niners danced around on the Cowboy star in the middle of the field after scoring a touchdown.

The Bottom Line Is....

This was the best Christmas gift I received today. Sorry Mom, but this was what I really wanted for Christmas and I got it. With this win the Eagles not only sweep the season series against the Cowboys, which is pretty sweet in and of itself, but they clinch a playoff spot and take over 1st place in the NFC East as well. In fact, if they win next week they will be the 2006 NFC Eastern division champs and you know something, I probably still won't believe it.
