PHILLIES NEWS
The Phillies agreed with Right-hander Brett Myers to a $25.75 million, three-year contract, avoiding arbitration. Myers has won at least 11 games each of the past four seasons, and went 12-7 with a 3.91 ERA and 189 strikeouts last season, so this comes as no surprise. With Myers signed only relief Pitcher Geoff Geary remains on arbitration for the Phils.
