SIXERS NEWS

Sixers 99 Nets 86
It Was Over When....
The 2nd quarter started. At one point during the 1st quarter the Sixers trailed 24-7, and entering the 2nd quarter they trailed 32-18, but by the time the 2nd quarter ended the Sixers had outscored the Nets 31-13 to take a 6 point, 49-43, halftime lead, which they would never relinquish.
The Game Ball Goes To....
Andre Miller with 11 points, 12 assists, and 8 rebounds, Andre Iguodala with a game high 21 points and 6 rebounds, Willie Green with 20 points and 7 rebounds, Joe Smith with 11 points and 10 rebounds off the bench, and Kyle Korver with 20 points off the bench.
The Stat Of The Game Is....
9, as in only 9 points scored on the night for Nets star Vince Carter. Basically, as Carter goes so goes the Nets. Thus as Carter struggled tonight against the Sixers tough defense, so did the Nets.
The Bottom Line Is....
This makes 4, count 'em 4 wins in a row for the Sixers, which not surprisingly is their longest winning streak of the season thus far. So although, it's still pretty unlikely that they will be able to make the playoffs, I think it's safe to say that they are now a force to be reckoned with.
