SIXERS NEWS
The Sixers took the tough loss on Wednesday in their season opener against Raptors, today they pulled out a tough win over the Chicago Bulls in Chicago. Andre Iguodala had another solid game with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Andre Miller actually led the Sixers with 25 points, Willie Green chipped in for another 13 points, and Reggie Evans and Samuel Dalembert picked it up big time in the front court with 9 points and 9 rebounds, and 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively. On the whole the Sixers ruled the boards with 55 to just 36 for the Bulls and that ultimately proved to be the difference. The Sixers jumped out to an early 28-20 lead after the 1st quarter. Chicago rallied to within 1 at the half(42-41). The Sixers pushed back ahead by 10, at 71-61 after the 3rd quarter. In the 4th quarter with Iguodala posting 11 of his 22, the Sixers pushed further ahead for a 75-63 lead. The Bulls rallied one final time halfway through the quarter to cut the lead to 81-79, but Andres Nocioni missed a three to put Chicago ahead. From there with just under 4 minutes to play Dalembert dunked and Miller converted a 3 point to play to push the lead back up to 87-80 and that was enough for the Sixers to hold on for a 96-85 win. So the Sixers even their record at 1-1. Hey, maybe they're not so bad after all, or maybe the Bulls are just getting off to their usual slow start, who knows.
