SIXERS NEWS
The Sixers rebounded from their tough loss last night, with a thrilling victory tonight over the Toronto Raptors, as they returned to the comfy home confines of the Wachovia Center. Offensively, four Sixers scored in double figures(Andre Iguodala, Willie Green, Andre Miller, Samuel Dalembert) with Green's 23 leading the way. Defensively, Samuel Dalembert was again the standout with 13 rebounds and a block, as the Sixers out rebounded Toronto 40-37, and held them to 47 % shooting from the field, which was just good enough to win. Through the first quarter of play, the Raptors clung to an 18-15 lead. In the second quarter, the Sixers rallied ahead to take a 42-40 lead at the half. In third quarter the Sixers roared to a 20 point, 76-56 lead. Toronto surged back with a furious late rally in the 4th quarter, but after closing to within 4, with about a minute to play, the rally cooled off as the Sixers hit their free throws down the stretch and hung on to win 99-95. So the Sixers improve to 16-25 overall, but remain in 4th place in the Atlantic division.
