PHILLIES NEWS
The Phils got some more pitching today, signing veteran Kris Benson to a minor league contract. Benson has a career record of 68-73 with an ERA. of 4.42. However, he was out all last season with a torn labrum. He will take part in spring training for the Phils, but obviously they want to be sure he's all the way back from his injury before they give him a spot on the roster of any kind and I guess that's the smart way to go.

Well hopefully he can recover fully, and when he is, we can hope that he actually might play well

yeah but even if he doesn't play well, there's still 5 other starting pitchers fall back on, in Jamie Moyer, Adam Eaton, Cole Hamels, Brett Myers, and Kyle Kendrick
