FLYERS NEWS
The Flyers completed their trip back down to earth tonight with their 2nd straight loss after 6 consecutive wins, as they traveled to Toronto for a match up with the Maple Leafs. Marty Biron had a solid but not great night, saving 23 of the 27 shots he faced, and Mike Richards scored twice, but it was not enough to avoid another loss. Late in the first period Lee Sternpriak scored for a 1-0 Leafs lead. Richards knotted it up at 1 a minute later. Early in the 2nd period Nic Antropov made it 2-1 Leafs. Halfway through the period Dominic Moore made it 3-1 Leafs. Late in the period Richards netted his 2nd goal to cut it to 3-2. Early in the 3rd period Pavel Kubina put the veritable nail in the Flyer's coffin making it 4-2 Leafs. From there the Flyers would not recover eventually falling 4-2. So the Orange and Black fall to 11-7-5 overall and remain at 27 points and 6th in the Eastern conference.

Well 6th place doesn't taste very well but the Eastern Conference is pretty strong. Hopefully they can turn things around.
