SIXERS NEWS

Tony Dileo announced today that he will not return next season as the Sixer's head coach, and instead will return to the front office, as the Sixer's assistant GM. This does not come as a huge surprise. Dileo did do a decent job after taking over for Maurice Cheeks a quarter of the way through the season, but that game 6 debacle against the Magic, just about undid all the good he had done. So now the Sixers will once again look for a new head coach. Some viable candidates include ex Sixers' star and TV commentator Doug Collins, and ex Wizards Coach Eddie Jordan. Whoever they pick, you can only hope it will finally be the guy they've been looking for ever since Larry Brown skipped town. In fact, the Sixers still have not been past the 1st round of the playoffs since Brown left. It's about time they finally found someone else as capable Brown.

DiLeo didnt do bad but your right about that game 6 undoing all the good. I agree with you on the second front as well about them needing to find a coach who can fill Larry Brown's footsteps because its been awhile since the Sixers got a good playoff run.
