The Phils have picked up the $8.5 million 2011 option on Jimmy Rollins contract. Which he is officially under contract for the Phils through 2011, which leaves only Jayson Werth, among the Phils core players, un-signed through 2011. This is really should come as no surprise, given his perennial spectacular defense and unmatched leadership on this team. Ultimately, there's no one else in the NL who you would rather have at shortshop then JRoll.

Your right about that. I would only want J Roll playing SS for the Phils and its good to know that he'll stay in Philly for a couple more years.
