Today the Eagles signed RB Martell Mallet who was the CFL rookie of the year last year with 1,280 rushing yards on 214 carries. With questions surrounding Brian Westbrook's future with the Eagles might need another running back to complement young Lesean McCoy. If he can prove in training camp that he can play at the NFL level Mallet might just be the guy, but that's pretty big if.

The hole that Westbrook may leave is a really big one to fill up but I think McCoy definately has the potential to fill it up and it doesnt hurt to have a little back up.
