PHILLIES NEWS

Roy Halladay was his usual near untouchable self, allowing just 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 10 in 7 innings. Meanwhile, Raul Ibanez remained red hot, going 3 for 4 again with a homer and 3 RBI. It was a quiet night until the 3rd inning, where Shane Victorino launched a solo homer, John Mayberry and Raul Ibanez both tagged RBI doubles, and Wilson Valdez slapped an RBI single, to plate 6 runs, all before Washington recorded an out. Later in the 5th inning, Ibanez crushed a solo homer to put the Phils on top 7-2. That would be all they would need to complete a sweep, as Antonio Bastardo and Ryan Madson combined to allow 1 run in the final 2 innings to finish off another 7-3 win.
