Fresh off a series split with the Astros, the Phils returned home to the Bank, and welcomed the struggling Rockies to town for a 3 game set. The veteran Jamie Moyer got the start, and produced another solid effort allowing just 4 runs on 6 hits in 7 innings of work. Meanwhile, after a an impressive 15 run night, the Phils followed up with an even more impressive outing, pounding out 20 runs on 19 hits. Basically everything that could have gone right for the Phils did. Now onto the game. In the top of the 1st, Ryan Spillborghs slammed a 3 run homer for a 3-0 Rockies' lead. In the bottom of the 1st, Chase Utley slammed a 3 run homer to knot it up at 3. In the top of the 3rd Spillborghs doubled in a run for a 4-3 Rockies' lead. In the bottom of the 4th, 3 straight doubles by Pedro Feliz, Chris Coste, and So Taguchi, netted 2 runs, Jimmy Rollins then singled in a run and scored on a fielder's choice, and finally Feliz came back up again and doubled in 2 more runs for a 9-4 Phils' lead. In the bottom of the 6th, Chris Coste slugged a 3 run homer, Utley singled in a run, and Ryan Howard followed with a 2 run single, for a 15-4 Phils' lead. In the bottom of the 8th, Utley singled in a run for his career high 6th RBI of the game, T.J Bonn(recently called up fill the roster spot of injured Jayson Werth) knocked in another run with an infield single and finally Feliz followed with a 2 run single for a 20-4 Phils' lead. From there, Clay Condrey closed it out in the 9th, after allowing a meaningless run, to cap off a 20-5 Phils win. So the Phils improve to 29-24 overall, but remain 2nd in the NL East.
