The Phils continued their series with the Angels tonight. Brett Myers got the and start and sadly continued his up and down season, allowing 4 run on 6 hits in 7 and 2/3rd's innings of work. Meanwhile, the Phils bat's got off to another slow start until a late rally brought them back, but would it be enough. Now onto the game. In the top of the 4th, Vlad Guerrero slugged a solo homer for a 1-0 Angel's lead. In the top of the 7th, Vlad did it again for a 2-0 Angel's lead. In the bottom of the 7th, Jayson Werth slammed a solo homer and Pedro Feliz doubled in a second run to tie it at 2. In the bottom of the inning, Eric Aybar crushed a 2 run homer for a 4-2 Angel's lead. In the top of the 9th, the Angel's put it away for good as Gary Matthews Jr, was hit by a pitch, stole second and scored on a fielder's choice and Chone Figgins singled in another run, for a 6-2 lead. From there the Phils had no recourse and dropped their 4th in a row to fall to 43-34 overall, now just 1.5 games up in the NL East.
