FLYERS NEWS
The Orange and Black welcomed the Phoenix Coyotes to the Wachovia center tonight. Marty Biron kept it going tonight with 25 saves out of the 28 shots he faced and Jeff Carter scored yet another goal as the Flyers pulled out their 4th win in a row. Early in the 1st period Scott Hartnell made it 1-0. Late in the period Daniel Carcillo knotted it up at 1 for the Coyotes. Late in 2nd period Martin Hanzal scored for a 2-1 Coyote lead. Mike Knuble tied it up again early in the 3rd period. Late in the period ex-Flyer Todd Fedoruk put Phoenix up again 3-2. With just over a minute to play Carter slapped home the equalizer and the stage shifted to an overtime battle. There just a minute and 35 seconds in, Carter assisted the Captain Mike Richards on the game winner, to close out the 4-3 Flyer victory. So the Flyers improve to 9-6-4 overall, for a total of 22 points, good for 8th in the Eastern conference. They'll have to keep this little roll going if they want to continue to move up the standings, but at this point things are lookng like last season again and it is becoming fun to watch. Who needs football when you've got the Flyers kicking butt every night.

I certainly dont need football when the Flyers are actually playing well. Now I have something to look forward to since the Phils are done.
