The Sixers returned to the Wachovia center tonight for a matchup with mr.big shot, Chauncey Billups, and the Denver Nuggets. They were looking to find their footing in the second half of the season after a rocky start against the Pacers last night. Unfortunately, it was just more of the same tonight against the Nuggets. The Sixers again struggled from the field shooting just 32%. To make matters worse Andre Miller went down with an injury and it is still unknown how serious it is. Without him, Lou Williams would be the starting point guard with no one backing him up. Hopefully Miller's injury isn't too serious. Anyway back to the game, if nothing else Maurice Speights did get back on track tonight with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Sixers did play well for a half with a 10 point, 47-37 lead at the half. In the 2nd half Miller went down and the Sixers just seemed to run out of gas. By the 4th quarter Denver had rallied ahead by 3 with the score 71-68. In the 4th quarter Denver pulled away for good eventually winning by 12 with the final score 101-89. So the Sixers drop their 2nd in a row to fall to 27-26 overall and 7th in the Eastern conference.

It looks like that losing streak I was talking about has started...and it always seems that what I dont want to happen, happens. So let me say this; I hope the Sixers keep losing.
