The Eagles signed safety Rashad Baker to a one year deal today. In his 5 year career Baker has started just 4 games, but last season he had a career best 3 interceptions, most notably the game clinching interception against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which eventually wound up helping to send the Eagles to the playoffs after their blowout win over the Cowboys. Still, Baker is not likely to be anything but a special teams stalwart.

Hey, special teams still makes an impact on the game, and its not a bad thing to have some competition among all the safeties they have running around now.
