The Sixers welcomed the Miami Heat to the Wachovia center tonight for their final home game of the season, that is fan appreciation. Inspired by the halfway decent fan turnout the Sixers actually played well again in this one, with another great shooting night. They went 54% from the field and 48% from beyond with 12 more treys. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, they again failed to do anything on the other side of floor. Miami shot 55% from the field and Dwayne Wade was unstoppable with 30, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. So inevitably in the end after Andre Iguodala missed a 3 pointer at the buzzer, Miami pulled out a 107-105 win, thwarting Sixer hopes of a 2 game winning streak and a win for the fans. Instead there was only more frustration
Other than missing the trey at the buzzer Iguodala had a good night with 14 and 6 assists. Jason Kapono drilled 4 treys for 24, and Jodie Meeks came off the bench to knock down 5 treys for 21. Elton Brand even chipped in with 15, Sammy Dalembert had 10 and 11 rebounds, and Lou Williams added 11 off the bench, but it was all for naught. Although he didn't really score tonight, Jrue Holiday put forth another solid performance with a career high 13 assists. If only they still cared enough to play defense that all might have amounted to something but oh well. With the loss the Sixers drop to 27-54 overall, still 12th in the East.

It seems that the players on the Sixers care as much about the rest of the season as the people of Philadelphia
