Given his spectacular play thus far this season, it should come as no surprise that the Flyers have signed Claude Giroux to a 3 year 11.25 million extension. If the Orange and Black had not signed him to the extension he would have become a restricted free agent after season. So Giroux has been extended but curiously enough Jeff Carter hasn't. Very interesting indeed.
