PHILLIES NEWS
Juan Samuel is coming back to where his baseball career began. He'll be the Phils 3rd base coach next season while Sam Perlozzo shifts across the diamond to coach 1st base. Like Perlozzo, Samuel spent his last couple years before joining the Phils, as a member of the Orioles' organization, mostly as their 3rd base coach. He already holds two everlasting distinctions in Phils history, with the franchise single season record of 72 stolen bases, and as the guy who was traded to the Mets for Lenny Dykstra. Here's hoping he earns another distinction this season, world champion.
