The Phils began a weekend inter league trip in Toronto with a wild one at the Rogers Centre. Kyle Kendrick battled through 7 innings, allowing 6 runs on 8 hits while striking out 5. It wasn't a great start but it was enough to keep the Phils in it and that was all they needed. Down 2-0 after 1, The Phils rallied for runs in the 2nd and 3rd, as Shane Victorino singled and scored in the 2nd and then ripped an RBI singled in the 3rd. Later the Phils fell behind 4-2, before taking their first lead of the afternoon after Dom Brown doubled, stole 3rd and scored in the 6th, and Victorino tripled in a run and scored on a sac fly for a 5-4 lead. Toronto came right back in the bottom of the 7th to take a 6-5 lead. After Danys Baez got through the 8th inning unscathed, the Phils had one last shot to steal victory in the 9th. With nobody out in the 9th, Ryan Howard looped a 2 run single to center to put the Phils ahead to stay 7-6, as Antonio Bastardo followed with his 2nd career save.
