Cole Hamels hit a roadblock in New York early this evening, as he was rocked by the Mets for 7 runs on 8 hits in just 4 and 1/3rd innings, spoiling an otherwise perfect season. Don't worry about Cole, there's nothing wrong with him. He was just a little rusty following the All-Star break and he'll be fine. As disappointing as Cole was, the Phils' bats were more so, managing just 2 runs on 6 hits off Johnathon Niese. The Phils' hitting has been inconsistent all year though, and it hasn't seemed to bother them yet. So I wouldn't worry too much about that either and nor can the Phils. They will need to quickly erase the memory of the 11-2 loss they suffered today and come back strong tomorrow to pick up another series win.
