The Phils traveled to Atlanta today to begin a 3 game set with the Braves. From the beginning Jamie Moyer was out of sink, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits in just 5 and 2/3rds innings of work. The phils offense meanwhile managed just 4 hits and 1 run on an RBI single by Pat Burrell in the 4th inning. While Atlanta added a run in the 7th, the Phils went scoreless for the final 5 innings and fell to Atlanta 5-1. So the Phils drop to 72-65, now 5 games behind the Mets in the NL East, but still 3 behind in the wildcard. Thus, life still sucks, big time.
