The Sixers welcomed the Indiana Pacers to the wachovia center tonight. After consecutive heartbreaking losses to the Celtics and the Nets, the Sixers desperately needed a win to once again even their record at .500. They were also in desperate need of something positive to hang on to, after it was announced earlier in the day that Elton Brand would have season ending shoulder surgery. The Sixers did not play their best on this night, but fortunately the Pacers didn't play that great either and thanks to double-doubles from Andre Iguodala with 20 points, and 11 rebounds, Andre Miller with 13 points and 12 assists, and Samuel Dalembert with 18 points and 20 rebounds the Sixers eventually hung on to win. The first half decided little as Indiana held a slim 56-54 lead at halftime. In the 3rd quarter the Sixers pushed ahead seemingly for good, taking an 11 point, 80-69 lead, into the 4th quarter. Once again the however, the Sixers struggled to close the door on the Pacers, but eventually hung to win by 5 with the final score 99-94. So the Sixers move back to .500 at 24-24 overall and remain 7th in the Eastern conference.

As long as they hover around .500 they should be fine, so its good that they won.
