The Sixers traveled to Memphis tonight for a matchup with the lowly Grizzlies, winners of just 14 games this season. Still, the Griz gave the Sixers all they could handle tonight, as Mike Conley and Marc Gasol each scored 30. Fortunately, thanks 24 points from Andre Iguodala and a near triple double out of Andre Miller, with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists, the Sixers were able to hold them off. They shot 50% from the field and wound up with 6 scorers in double figures. Defensively, they were not very good at all, allowing Memphis to shoot 56% from the field, but 12 steals at key times, helped to offset that hot shooting just enough for the Sixers to win. Early on neither could get to far ahead of the other and it stayed like that for the duration of the game. By the half Memphis led by just 4 with the score 55-51. By the 4th quarter it was all knotted up at 79. Finally in the 4th quarter the Sixers inched ahead and managed to hang on for a 110-105 win. So the Sixers move back to .500 overall at 30-30, and remain 7th in the eastern conference. T'hey're going to have to play better defense the rest of the season if they want to stay there.
