The Phils continued their series with the Rockies tonight and stayed hot. Kyle Kendrick got the start and provided his best effort of the season thus far, allowing just 2 runs on 7 hits in 7 and 1/3rd innings of work. Meanwhile, the Phils continued their offensive rampage with 7 runs in the first two innings and 11 hits overall. Now onto the game. In the bottom of the first, Greg Dobbs slapped a 2 run single and Pedro smoked a 2 run double for a 4-0 Phils' lead. In the bottom of the 2nd, Chase Utley doubled in a run, Ryan Howard followed with an RBI single, and a couple batters later Geoff Jenkins blooped an RBI single, for a 7-0 Phils' lead. In the top of the 5th, the Rockies finally got on the board, as Carlos Quintanilla doubled and scored on a fielder's choice to cut the lead to 7-1. In the top of the 8th, Ryan Spillborghs slammed a 2 run homer to cut the lead to 7-3 and suddenly it was a ballgame again. Then the rains came in the bottom of 8th and a 1 hour rain delay ensued, washing out the Rockies' momentum. Finally in the top of the 9th, following the rain delay, Brad Lidge came in, although it was not a save situation, and after giving up a run, closed out a 7-4 Phils' win. So the Phils improve to 30-24 overall, all alone in 2nd place in the NL East now just 1.5 games out of first.

The Phils finished off their 4 game set with the Astros this afternoon, desperately needing a win to avoid losing the series. Fortunately, ace Cole Hamels with 19 inning scoreless streak still in toe, took the mound for the Phils. Sadly, the streak came to an abrupt end in the 1st, and things didn't look so good early on. Meanwhile, the Phils offense bailed out Hamels, pounding out 15 runs on 16 hits. Now onto the game. In the bottom of the 1st, Carlos Lee slammed a 3 run homer for a 3-0 Astros' lead. In the top of the 2nd, Geoff Jenkins slugged a 2 run homer to cut the lead to 3-2. In the top of the 3rd, Hamels singled and scored on a sac fly by Chase Utley to knot it at 3. In the bottom of the 3rd, Micheal Bourn walked and scored on a single by Lance Berkman, and Miguel Tejada reached base on a fielder's choice and then scored on another fielder's choice for a 5-3 Astros' lead. In the top of the 4th, Hamels helped himself again, singling in a run to cut the lead to 5-4. In the bottom of the 4th, Ty Wigginton doubled and scored on a fielder's choice for a 6-4 Astros' lead. In the top of the 6th, Pat "the Bat" Burrell slugged a solo homer, Carlos Ruiz singled in another run , Pedro Feliz scored on a fielder's choice, and the "Flyin Hawaiian" Shane Victorino doubled in a couple runs, for a 9-6 Phils lead. In the top of the 7th, the hits just kept on coming, as Feliz singled in a run, Greg Dobbs followed with a bases clearing triple for 2 more runs, Victorino scored Dobbs with a single, and Utley crushed a 2 run homer for a 15-6 Phils lead. From there, Ryan Madson and Clay Condrey combined to close it out, and the Phils had their series split. So the Phils improve to 28-24 overall and move back into 2nd in the NL East.

The Phils continued their 4 game set with the Astros tonight. Brett Myers got the start and had another solid outing allowing just 4 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings. Unfortunately, once again the Phils could give him no run support. Now onto the game. In the top of the 1st, the "Flyin Hawaiian" Shane Victorino reached base on an error, stole second, and scored on a double by Ryan Howard. In the bottom of the 1st, Carlos Lee slapped a 2 out 2 run double for a 2-1 Astros' lead. In the top of the 3rd, Howard slammed a 2 run homer for a 3-2 Phils lead. In the bottom of the 5th, Micheal Bourn doubled and scored on a single by Lee to knot it up at 3. In the bottom of the 6th, Mark Loretta slapped a pinch RBI single for a 4-3 Astros' lead. It stayed that way until the top of the 9th, where the Phils loaded the bases with one out, for Victorino. Unfortunately, Victorino flied out, and Pedro Feliz was gunned down at the plate by Darin Erstad, while attempting to tag up from 3rd, to end it in a 4-3 Astros' win. So the Phils drop to 27-24 overall and down to 3rd in the NL East.

The Phils continued their series with the Astros tonight, with the second of their 4 game set. Adam Eaton got the start and pitched surprisingly well, allowing just 3 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings of work. Unfortunately, the Phils couldn't give him much run support, so it came down to a final desperate 9th inning rally. Now onto the game. In the top of the 2nd, Pat "the Bat" Burrell slammed a solo homer for a 1-0 Phils lead. In the bottom of the 5th, Hunter Pence slugged a solo homer to knot it up at 1. In the bottom of the 7th, Pence crushed another solo homer and Micheal Bourne singled in a run for a 3-1 Astros' lead. In the bottom of the 8th, Lance Berkman tripled and scored on a sac fly by Carlos Lee. Finally in the top of the 9th, as always the Phils mounted a final rally. Burrell singled, advanced to 2nd on an error and scored on a single by Pedro Feliz, Carlos Ruiz followed with a single, and Jimmy Rollins doubled to cut the lead 4-3. Shane Victorino then stepped to the plate with a chance not only to tie it, but to put the Phils ahead with a single, instead he flied out to center to end it and Houston had held on for a 4-3 win. So the Phils drop to 27-23 overall, and remain in 2nd place.

Fresh off a series win over the Nats the Phils traveled to Houston, a homecoming for ex-Stros Eric Bruntlett, and Brad Lidge, to begin a 4 game set with the Astros. Kyle Kendrick got the start tonight, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits in just 5 innings of work, just well enough to keep the Phils ahead. Now onto the game. In the bottom of the first, Lance Berkman slapped a 2 out double for a 1-0 Astros' lead. In the bottom of the 2nd, Carlos Ruiz slapped a bases loaded single to knot it up at 1. In the bottom of the 2nd, a sac fly by Brad Ausmus put the Astros up 2-1. In the top of the 3rd, Ryan Howard doubled in a run, Pedro Feliz pushed another run across with a single, and Geoff Jenkins tacked on a 3rd run with a sac fly, for a 4-2 Phils lead. In the top of the 5th, Ryan Howard slammed a solo homer for a 5-2 lead. In the bottom of the 6th, the Astros rallied back on a 2 run double by Ty Wigginton and a single by Geoff Blum to knot it up again at 5. In the top of the 8th, Pat Burrell came off the bench and slugged a pinch solo homer and Chase Utley later tacked on a run with a 2 out single, to put the Phils back ahead 7-5. Finally in the bottom of the 9th, Lidge closed out his old mates, forcing Berkman to pop up, and finish off a 7-5 Phils win, their 3rd in a row. So the Phils improve to 27-22 overall, but remain in 2nd, for now at least.

The Phils finished off their 3 game set with the Nationals tonight. The veteran Jamie Moyer got the start and produced his best effort of the season thus far, blanking the Nats on just 7 hits in 6 innings of work. Meanwhile, Ryan Howard and the rest of the Phils lineup, finally came back to life pounding out 12 runs on 15 hits in a laugher. Now onto the game. In the top of the first Howard slapped an RBI double for a 1-0 Phils lead. In the top of the 2nd, Pedro Feliz slammed a solo homer for a 2-0 Phils lead. In the top of the 5th, Shane Victorino and Howard each slugged solo homers for a 4-0 Phils lead. In the top of the 6th, Jimmy Rollins slapped a bases loaded single for one run, Victorino followed with a bases clearing single, following an error by Dmitri Young, Chase Utley followed with an RBI double, Howard crushed a 2 run homer, and finally Chris Coste slapped a 2 out single to cap an 8 run innings, to put the Phils ahead 12-0. In the top of the 7th, the Nats finally broke up the shutout as Ryan Zimmerman and Young each slapped 2 out RBI singles to cut the lead to 12-2. From there little used Clay Condrey closed it out, as the Phils won easily 12-2. So the Phils improve to 26-22 overall, but alas still remain 2nd in the NL East.

The Phils continued their 3 game set with the Nats tonight at their brand new home, affectionately named National's Park, apparently they let George Bush name it. Anyhow, Cole Hamels got the start tonight and continued his impressive run of scoreless innings, now 19, after 7 tonight, on just 4 hits. Unfortunately, the Phils didn't fare much better against the Nat's Jason Bergmann, who held them scoreless for 7 innings as well, on just 5 hits. So the game went into the top of the 9th still tied at 0. There Pedro Feliz led off with a double and scored on a blooped pinch single by Greg Dobbs for a 1-0 Phils lead. Then in the bottom of the 9th after issuing a couple walks, Brad Lidge closed it out with his 11th save of the season. So the Phils improve to 25-22 overall, which is well, better than they were before.

After dropping 2 of 3 to the Blue Jays, the Phils jumped on the train and went down to Washington and their brand new stadium to start a 3 game set with the Nationals. Brett Myers got the start tonight and actually pitched fairly well for once, allowing just 3 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings of work. Unfortunately for Myers, the Phils lineup continued to struggle and was silenced completely tonight, as Tim Redding, Saul Rivera, Luis Ayala, and Joel Hanrahan combined for a 7 hit shutout of the Phils. Now onto the game. In the top of the first Cristian Guzman scored on a sac fly by Dmitri Young for a 1-0 Nat's lead. In the bottom of the 3rd Lastings Milledge slapped a one out double for a 3-0 Nat's lead. In the bottom of the 7th, Guzman doubled and scored on a fielder's choice for a 4-0 Nat's lead. Sadly, that's how it ended as the Phils totally failed to muster any offense and fell 4-0. So the Phils drop to 24-22 overall, but hey they're still over .500 right.

PHILLIES NEWS

The Phils finished off their 3 game set with the Blue Jays this afternoon, with a wild rain filled game. Kyle Kendrick got the start, but went only 1 inning before the rains forced a 2 hour delay, that spelled the end of his day. So instead it was basically a combined effort by the bullpen, which came up a bit short, as the Phils twice left the bases loaded. Now onto the game. In the bottom of the first, just before the initial rains came, Ryan Howard slammed a 2 run homer for a 2-0 Phils lead. In the bottom of the 4th in post rain delay action, Geoff Jenkins singled and scored on a single by Carlos Ruiz for a 3-0 lead. In the top of the 5th, Lyle Overbay crushed a pinch 3 run homer to tie it at 3. In the top of the 6th, just before another rain delay, Shannon Stewart slapped a 2 out 2 run double, and scored on a single by freaking Rod Barajas for a 6-3 Blue Jay's lead. In the bottom of the 6th, after rain delay # 2 Jimmy Rollins walked and scored on a double by Chase Utley to cut the lead to 6-4. Finally, in the bottom of the 9th, the Phils mustered one last rally. Pat Burrell slugged a 2 out solo homer to cut the lead to 5 ,and Chris Coste followed with a pinch double, to bring Eric Bruntlett to plate with a chance to tie the game. Twice, Bruntlett just missed a game tying line drive, and after a long at bat finally struck out chasing a high fast ball. So the Phils fell 6-5 and drop to 24-21 overall, not quite what they were looking for this weekend.

FLYERS NEWS

Well the dream is finally dead for the Orange and Black. After a desperate win in game 4 the Flyers came into today needing another desperate win in game 5. Sadly, on this day no amount, of heart, determination, or desperation could save them. They were simply outclassed by the Pens. Early in the first period of play Ryan Malone scored on the power play for a 1-0 Pen's lead. Later in the period Evgeni Malkin scored for a 2-0 Pen's lead. Midway through the 2nd period of play, Marian Hossa scored for a 3-0 Pen's lead. Then late in the period Malone scored again, this time on the power play and Jordan Staal added another late goal for a 5-0 Pen's lead. Finally, early in the 3rd period of play Pascal Dupuis ended the embarrassment scoring for a 6-0 Pen's lead. From there, thanks to the dazzling play of Marc-Andre Fleury it stayed that way until the end for an embarrassing 6-0 Pen's win. So the Pen's advance to the Stanley Cup Finals while the Flyers' wild ride of a season is over. Better luck next year fellas.

After a solid win last night, the Phils were looking for more of the same tonight in the second of their 3 game set with the Jays. Adam Eaton got the start and after getting tagged by an ex-mate managed to tough out 5 okay innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. Meanwhile, the Phils bats were tamed by A.J Burnett with just 2 runs on 4 hits through 6 innings. Now onto the game. In the top of the 2nd inning, Rod freaking Barajas, who stunk for the Phils last season, slammed a grand slam for a 4-0 Blue Jays lead. In the bottom of the 4th, Greg Dobbs doubled in a run to cut the lead to 4-1. In the bottom of the 7th, Jimmy Rollins slapped a 2 run double to cut the lead to 4-3. In the top of 9th, freaking Barajas crushed a solo homer and Aaron Hill singled, stole second and scored on an error by Ryan Howard for a 6-3 Blue Jays lead. Finally in the bottom of the 9th, the Phils went down quietly to fall 6-3. So the Phils drop to 24-20 overall, and out of first place again. Oh well, there's still a lot of season left.

The Phils started interleague play tonight, welcoming the Toronto Blue Jays and old friend Scott Rolen to the Bank for a 3 game set. The veteran Jamie Moyer got the start and pitched fairly well allowing just 3 runs on 7 hits in 6 and 2/3rd innings of play. Meanwhile, Jayson Werth powered the phils offense with 3 homers and a team record 8 RBIs. Now onto the game. In the bottom of the 2nd, you guessed it, Werth slammed a 3 run homer for a 3-0 Phils lead. In the bottom of the 3rd, Ryan Howard slapped an RBI single and you guessed it, Werth, slugged a grand slam for an 8-0 Phils lead. In the top of the 4th, the Blue Jays finally got on the board, as Alex Rios doubled in a run and Rolen followed with an RBI single to cut the lead to 8-2. In the bottom of the 5th, you guessed it, Werth, crushed a solo homer for a 9-2 Phils lead. In the bottom of the 6th, the "Flyin Hawaiian" Shane Victorino slapped a 2 out RBI double for a 10-2 Phils lead. In the top of the 7th, Marco Scutaro slapped a 2 out RBI single to cut the lead to 10-3. From there, the Phils bullpen, or at least it's seldom used members, Chad Durbin and Clay Condrey, closed it out, to finish off a 10-3 Phils win. Down 3-0 to the Pens in their conference finals series, the Flyers needed a win tonight in the Wachovia center to stay alive, and if nothing else avoid the embarrassing sweep. Thanks to an early scoring punch, and the continued dazzling play of Marty Biron, who saved 36 of the 38 shots he faced, they were able to do just that. Midway through the first period of play, Joffrey Lupul scored for a 1-0 Flyers lead. Then late in the period, Danny Briere and Jeff Carter each scored on the power play for a 3-0 Flyers lead. In the 2nd period of play neither team could light the lamp. Early in the 3rd period of play, Jordan Staal scored to cut the lead 3-1. Then late in the period Staal scored again to cut the lead 3-2. From there the Pens inevitably pulled Marc Andre-Fleury from the goal with about a minute to play and it backfired as Lupul scored again on the empty net to cap off a 4-2 Flyer's win. So now the Orange and Black head back to Pittsburgh for another must win in Game 5. Who knows? maybe they still have a final miracle left in them yet.

PHILLIES NEWS

The Phils finished off their 3 game set with the Giants tonight. Cole Hamels got the start and tossed a 4 hit complete game gem , while his teammates scattered 5 runs in the first 4 innings for a solid win. Now onto the game. In the bottom of the 2nd, Pedro Feliz slammed a solo homer for a 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the 3rd, Ryan Howard slugged a solo homer and Pat "the Bat" Burrell walked and scored on a single by Feliz for a 3-0 lead. In the bottom of the 4th, "the Flyin Hawaiian", Shane Victorino crushed a 2 run homer for a 5-0 lead. From there the Phils did not score again and didn't need to, as Hamels held the Giants in check all the way through the 9th for a 5-0 Phils win. So the Phils improve to 23-19 overall, still not too bad if I might say so myself.

Still, the Phils nearly saved him with a late comeback, but sadly it came up just short. Now onto the game. In the top of the first Yunel Escobar and Chipper Jones each slammed solo homers for a 2-0 Braves' lead. In the top of the 2nd, Kelly Johnson banged a solo homer for a 3-0 Braves' lead. In the top of the 3rd, Brian Mcann slapped a 2 out 2 run double for a 5-0 Braves' lead. In the top of the 5th, Mcann knocked in one run with a single and Gregor Blanco slapped a 2 out single for 2 more runs, and an 8-0 Braves' lead. In the bottom of the 8th, Ryan Howard slammed a solo homer to cut the lead to 8-5. Finally with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, Coste singled and scored on a single by Jroll, and "The Flyin Hawaiian" Shane Victorino stepped to the plate representing the tying run, but sadly he flied out to the end it, to finish off an 8-6 Braves' win. The Phils returned home to the Bank today to begin a 3 game set with the division rival Braves. Kyle Kendrick got the start tonight and delivered another solid performance, allowing just 3 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings of work. Meanwhile, Jayson Werth got a rare start in centerfield and made the most of it knocking in 4 runs on 3 hits to carry the Phils to a big win. In the top of the first Chipper Jones knocked in one run with a single, and Jeff Franceour knocked in two more with another single for a 3-0 Braves lead. In the bottom of the 4th, you guessed it, Werth delivered a one out, 2 run single to cut the lead to 3-2. In the bottom of the 5th, Ryan Howard singled in a run, and scored on a, yes you guessed it, single by Werth, for a 4-3 Phils lead. In the bottom of the 7th, yes you guessed it, Werth blooped a 2 out single to score Eric Bruntlett(he pinch it for Pat Burrell), for a 5-3 Phils lead. Finally, in the top of the 9th, after allowing Brian Mcann to slam a 2 out RBI double to cut the lead to 5-4, Brad Lidge closed it out for a 5-4 Phils win. So the Phils improve to 22-18 overall, not bad huh?

FLYERS NEWS

The Flyers are really in for it now. After dropping the first two games of their series with the Pens, the Orange and Black desperately needed a win tonight back home at the Wachovia center in game 3. Sadly they didn't get it as the Pens simply outplayed them. Early in the first period of play Ryan Whitney scored on the power play for a 1-0 Pens lead. A couple minutes later Marian Hossa scored for a 2-0 Pens lead and you could hear the groans from here. Fortunately, R.J Umberger scored late in the period to cut the lead to 2-1 and briefly restore hope. Neither team could light the lamp in the second period of play. About midway through the 3rd period of play Ryan Malone scored off another errant pass off the stick of Steve Downie, for a 3-1 Pens lead. Finally, late in the period, as if that weren't bad enough, Marty Biron was pulled from in front of the net for the extra attacker and no sooner had that happened when Hossa scored again on the empty net to cap off a demoralizing 4-1 Pens win. So now Flyers trail 3-0 in the series, and must do what only two teams have ever done if they still hope to advance.

The Flyers came into tonight looking to rebound after a tough mistake filled loss in the first game of their series with the Pens. Just like Friday night they kept it close for most of the night, but ultimately a late turnover by Steve Downie in the Flyer's own zone led to their downfall, and helped the Pens pull out another one. Late in the first period of play Sid the Kid scored a lucky goal for a 1-0 Pens lead. Early in the 2nd period of play Jeff Carter scored on the power play to tie it at 1. Then late in the period Marian Hossa scored on the power play for the Pens for a 2-1 lead and Mike Richards scored shorthanded on the next Pens power play to tie it up again at 2. Midway through the 3rd period of play, Downie turned it over in the Flyers zone, and Max Talbot scored off a perfect pass for a 3-2 Pens lead. From there the Flyers fought hard to tie up again and pulled Marty Biron from in front of the net, in the favor of the extra attacker, with about a minute to play, but no sooner had they done so, when Jordan Staal scored on the empty net to cap off a 4-2 Pens win. So now the Flyer's trail 2-0 as they head back to the Wachovia center for game 3, where are Andy Delmore and Keith Primeau when you need them.

PHILLIES NEWS

The Phils finished off their 3 game set with the Giants this afternoon and dropped another tough one to lose the series. Adam Eaton got the start and pitched well, allowing just 2 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings of work, but the bullpen couldn't quite hold the lead for him. Now onto the game. In the bottom of the 2nd, Bengie Molina singled and scored for a 1-0 Giants lead. In the top of 4th, Eaton walked with the bases loaded to force in a run and knot it at 1. In the bottom of the inning Molina doubled and scored on a fielder's choice for a 2-1 lead. In the top of the 5th, Ryan Howard hit a rare triple to knock in one run, and then scored on a sac fly by "the Bat" Pat Burrell for a 3-2 Phils lead. That lead held up until the bottom of the 7th, where John Holm slammed a 2 out 2 run homer off J.C Romero for a 4-3 Giants lead. From there the Phils had their chances to pull even or take the lead but came up short and in the 9th with one on and out, JRoll grounded into a double play to cap off the 4-3 loss. So the Phils drop to 21-18 overall, not the best way unwind on a Sunday afternoon.

PHILLIES NEWS

The Phils traveled to San Francisco tonight to begin a 3 game set and thankfully they brought the reigning MVP with them. That's right folks, JRoll's back and rolling to the tune of 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Just what the doctor ordered. Meanwhile, Cole Hamels got the start and toughed out 7 innings, allowing just 4 runs on 6 hits, and avoiding the loss column again, as the Phils pulled out some late inning heroics. Now onto the game. In the top of the second, Carlos Ruiz slapped a two out single to score Pat Burrell for a 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the 3rd Fred Lewis smacked a 2 out single to tie it at 1. In the bottom of the 4th, a two out single by Eugenio Velez, scored one run, and a triple that followed by Emmanuel Burriss scored two more for a 4-1 Giants lead. JRoll answered in the top of the 5th with a two run homer to cut the lead to 4-3. In the top of the 6th, Pedro Feliz banged a 2 out double to tie it at 4. In the top of the 8th, Burrell walked and was replaced on the base paths by So Taguchi, who later scored on a fielder's choice gone wrong, as a throw home pulled Bengie Molina off the bag. Then Greg Dobbs slapped a pinch single for another run, JRoll followed with an RBI double and before you knew it the Phils were up 7-4. From there, Flash Gordon survived an adventurous 8th, and Brad Lidge closed it out in the 9th, for a 7-4 Phils win. So the Phils improve to 21-16 overall, but remain just out of first, at least for another day.

FLYERS NEWS

After about a week layoff, the Flyers finally began their Eastern Conference finals series with the cross state Pittsburh Penguins. Sadly in the ultimate battle for PA the Pens drew first blood. The Flyers simply couldn't keep up with them on this night and just didn't play very well together, hopefully game 2 will be better. Early in the first period of play Petr Sykora got things started for a 1-0 Pens lead and things just got wild from there. A couple minutes later Mike Richards scored to tie it and then scored again four minutes later to put the Orange and Black up 2-1. Sid the Kid, answered a couple minutes later to knot it at two. Finally with just seconds left in the period, Evgeni Malkin scored to put the Pens up 3-2. Early in the 2nd period of play Malkin scored again for a 4-2 Pens lead. From there the two teams finally seemed to wake up and ramped it up on defense, with big hit after another. So it stayed 4-2 Pens the rest of the way, and now the Flyers will have to shake off the rust sunday night, and get a win to avoid falling behind 2-0, although considering what happened the last time these two teams met in the playoffs that might just be right where the Flyers want them.

So the Phils drop to 20-16 overall and finally relinquish first place in the NL East at least for one day.

Meanwhile, the Unit, Randy Johnson, toughed out 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. In the bottom of the 4th, it all fell apart for Eaton, Johnson walked with the bases loaded to force in one run, a fielder's choice grounded into by Young, pushed across another run, and finally a 3 run homer by Stephen Drew cleared the bases, and suddenly Arizona led 6-2. So the Phils drop to 19-15 overall but remain in first place.

PHILLIES NEWS

Another game with the Giants another potential pitcher's duel. Oddly, that potential would not be realized on this afternoon in the last of a 3 game set. It was supposed to be a duel for the ages between the two young guns, Cole Hamels and the Giants Tim Lincecum, instead thanks to some clutch hitting by both teams it wound up another late inning thriller, and that's just fine by the Phils thank you. Now onto the game. In the bottom of the 3rd inning, Pat "the Bat" Burrell knocked in a couple runs with a clutch two out double for a 2-0 Phils lead. In the top of the 4th, a pair of two out hits, a single by Jose Castillo and a double by Rich Aurilia, knotted it up at 2. In the bottom of the 5th, "the Flyin Hawaiian" Shane Victorino singled, advanced to third on a throwing error by Castillo, and scored on a wild pitch by Lincecum, and later in the inning Geoff Jenkins added a run with a sac fly for a 4-2 Phils lead. In the top of the 6th, Aurilia slammed a 2 out 2 run homer to tie it up again at 4. In the top of the 8th, Aaron Rowand singled and scored on a triple by Castillo for a 5-4 Giant's lead. In the bottom of the 8th Carlos Ruiz banged a solo homer to tie up again at 5. Finally in the bottom of the 9th, Ryan Howard and Burrell each worked two out walks and Jenkins singled to score Howard with the winning run. So for the 2nd time in 3 days the Phils walk off with a 6-5 win and improve to 18-14 overall. Still all alone in first.
