FLYERS NEWS

Today the Flyers began what will probably be a busy off-season of transactions by signing center Marty Murray to a 1-year deal. That's right Flyer's fans Marty Murray who played for the Flyers from 2001 through 2003 is back in Orange and Black after a year in Germany following the lockout in 2004. Murray is not as big as the Flyer's other centers Keith Primeau and Peter Forsberg, but he is faster which bodes well in the new NHL. With the status of both Primeau and Forsberg in doubt for the start of next season, having Murray aboard is good insurance and although Murray won't be a star he will help the Flyers change from the sluggish team that lost in the first round of the Playoffs this year to a faster and better attacking team.
