The Sixers have been on a roll of late, but tonight they traveled to Boston to take on the Celtics who have been on a perpetual roll since the season began. Thus, the chances of yet another Sixer's win seemed slim, but fortunately someone forgot to tell that to the Sixers. Offensively, three Sixers scored in double figures(Andre Iguodala, Andre Miller, Thaddeus Young), with Iggy's 28 leading the way. Defensively, Sammy Dalembert led the way, with 12 rebounds and 2 blocks, as the Sixers out rebounded Boston 42-34, held them to under 50% shooting from the field and pilfered them for 10 steals, mostly in the 4th quarter. In the first quarter of play, the Celtics jumped out to a 6 point lead, with the score 28-22. In the second quarter of play, the game tightened up a bit, as the Sixers cut the Boston lead to 4 by the half ,with the score 52-48. It remained a tight game in the 3rd quarter of play, as the Boston clung to a 5 point lead, with the score 71-66 heading into the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter of play, Boston seemed, at least in the early going to sense the moment and picked up their intensity, extending their lead to 11 with just over 8 minutes to play. However, from there Boston went cold and the Sixers picked it up, as they went on a 19-0 run and eventually pulled out a thrilling hard fought win, 95-90. So the Sixers improve to 36-35 overall, and jump to 6th in the Eastern conference and 2nd in the Atlantic division(don't hold your breath for a division title, Boston already clinched it), still just 1 game out of the 5th spot in the East.
