The Eagles continued their preseason tonight, with a sparkling performance against the Patriots, in an otherwise meaningless 27-17 victory. The special teams was extra special, with Desean Jackson returning a punt for a touchdown, and Quintin Demps returning a kickoff for a touchdown. Donovan Mcnabb had another good day directing 3 70 + yard drives, including 67 yards to Jackson on 4 receptions. L.J Smith also had 3 catches for 44 yards. Moving to the defense, Jerome Mcdougle, had a sack and 3 qb hurries, Dan Klecko had 4 tackles, with 2 for a loss, and rookie linebacker Joe Mays led the team with 8 tackles. Finally, punter Sav Rocca blasted two punts late in the 4th quarter, inside the Patriot's 10 yard line, including a 52 yarder, that bounced out of bounds at the 1 yard line. So all in all a good preseason effort for the Birds.
