The Flyers continued to be off defensively tonight and this time the goaltender, Brian Boucher got the start and allowed 6 goals to the Boston Bruins, couldn't save them. Considering the poor defense, despite Matt Walker's first start of the season, it wasn't all Boosh's fault, but he probably should have stopped at least a couple of the goals. Meanwhile, goals kept coming for the Orange and Black. Danny Briere and Nikolay Zherdev each had a goal and an assist and Ville Leino had 2 more assists. Still it doesn't matter how many goals you score if you can't stop the other guys.
The Flyers had the early lead as Leino and Briere setup Hartnell. Down 2-1 late in the 2nd period Andreas Nodl setup Zherdev and James Van Reimsdyk and Kimmo Timonen setup Jeff Carter to put the Flyers backup 3-2. Down 4-3 early in the 3rd period, Braydon Coburn and Leino setup Briere and Mike Richards and Zherdev setup Sean O'donnell to put the Flyers back up 5-4. After that the Bruins scored 3 late goals including an empty netter to pull out a wild 7-5 win. Better luck next time boys.
