SIXERS NEWS
It happened, it finally happened. For the first time this season the Sixers won two games in a row. Granted, it was against the same atrocious team, the Knicks(in a home and home series, last night was in Philly, tonight was in New York), but in my book that still counts right? Anyway, offensively five Sixers scored in double figures(Andre Miller, Willie Green, Andre Iguodala, Kyle Korver, Thaddeus Young) with Willie Green's 18 leading the way. Additionally, Andre Miller once again had double figures in assists with 10, and surprise! the Sixers played well again and soared to victory. Defensively, Samuel Dalembert had only 6 rebounds tonight, but again compiled 2 rejections. Reggie Evans also contributed with 14 rebound as the Sixers dominated the glass 47-27. As for the game it was all Sixers this time. After the 1st quarter they led 24-19. By halftime, they led by 12, 49-37. Through 3 quarters the lead ballooned up 18, with the score 75-57. Finally, the Sixers ran away with it in the 4th quarter and won a rare laugher 105-77. So the Sixers improve to 7-13, and for now they move out of the cellar and into 4th place in the Atlantic division.
