FLYERS NEWS

There is good news and bad news for the Flyers as they head into this week. First the bad news. The Flyers always populous injured list grew today, as Sami Kapanen who was hit in the face with the puck and Joffrey Lupul who was accidentally body slammed to the ice by his teammate Derian Hatcher(both in Saturday night's game against Toronto), were added to the tally. Scottie Upshall who has missed the last Flyer's 2 games with a high ankle sprain will also remain on injured reserve. Now the good news. Jason Smith, who has missed the Flyer's last 2 games with a sprained shin hopes to the return to the lineup on Thursday. Also, now rejoice Flyer's fans! Simon Gagne, yes Simon Gane, who has missed the Flyers' last 25 games due to a concussion, expects to make his long awaited return to the Orange and Black on Thursday as well, after a successful practice with the team earlier today. Seriously though, as well as the Flyers have been playing lately, if they could ever get all these guys back on ice at the same time, they could really go places.
