The Phils finished off their weekend set with the Dodgers late this evening, as they looked to complete the sweep. Joe Blanton got the start and pitched well, allowing just 1 run on 6 hits in 6 strong innings of work. Meanwhile, after slamming Dodger pitching around, for 2 games, the Phils got off to a slow start tonight, with just 1 run heading into the 9th inning. So it would take some late heroics for the Phils to pull this one out. Now onto the game. In the top of the 1st, James Loney singled in a run for a 1-0 Dodger's lead. In the bottom of the 5th, Chase Utley singled in a run to knot it up at 1. In the top of the 7th, Jeff Kent slapped an RBI single for a 2-1 lead. In the bottom of the 9th, with 2 out, Pedro Feliz delivered a pinch RBI single to knot it up at 2. Finally in the bottom of the 11th, Feliz delivered again with a 3 run homer to walk the Phils off with the 5-2 win. So the Phils move to 71-59 overall and are now just .5 games behind the Mets in the NL East.
