The Phils finished off their series with the Dodgers tonight, looking for the 4 game sweep to exact total revenge. Brett Myers got the start and produced another solid effort, allowing 0 runs on 9 hits in 7 strong innings of work. Meanwhile, the Phils got out early, with 3 runs through 5 innings, all they had to do was hang on. Now onto the game. In the bottom of the 2nd, Jimmy Rollins slapped a 2 run single for a 2-0 Phil's lead. In the bottom of the 5th, JRoll doubled and scored on a fielder's choice for a 3-0 lead. In the bottom of the 7th, Werth singled in one run, then amazingly scored from second on a ground ball, for a 5-0 Phil's lead. From there J.C Romero and Clay Condrey combined to close out the shutout of the Dodgers and complete the sweep. So the Phils move to 72-59 overall, still just .5 games behind the Mets in the NL East.
