SIXERS NEWS

The Sixers concluded their 6 game road trip tonight surprise!, in Denver against AI and the Nuggets. Que the bad marketing ploy. Unfortunately, the bad marketing seemed to have rubbed off on Mr. Iverson, as he dropped 38 on his old mates, to help propel Denver to victory. Offensively, 6 Sixers scored in double figures(Andre Miller, Willie Green, Andre Iguodala, Samuel Dalembert, Thaddeus Young, Louis Williams) with Miller's 22 leading the way. Defensively, Samuel Dalembert's 15 rebounds and 2 blocks, led the way among 3 Sixers who reached double figures in rebounds(Reggie Evans and the other AI, Andre Iguodala, were the others) as the Sixers out rebounded Denver 53-49. In the end though it didn't matter as Denver simply had too much fire power for the Sixers tonight. Through the 1st quarter of play the Nuggets led by 7, 29-22. By the half that lead was up to 10, 53-43. In the 3rd quarter the Sixers rallied back and actually tied it at 62 at one point before Denver pulled away again and took a 10 point lead into the 4th quarter, 77-67. There, Denver kept the Sixers at bay until they had held on for an easy 109-96 win. So the Sixers drop to 14-20 overall, but remain in 4th place in the Atlantic division.
