SIXERS NEWS
The Lame times continue for the Sixers as they lost their 6th straight tonight, this time to the Chicago Bulls, blowing a huge 1st quarter lead in the process. Offensively, four Sixers scored in double figures(Andre Miller, Andre Iguodala, Samuel Dalembert, Louis Williams) with Iggy's 25 leading the way. Defensively, Samuel Dalembert had a spectacular night, with 20 rebounds and 2 blocks(and 21 points for that matter). With Reggie Evans chipping in 13 rebounds as well, the Sixers easily out rebounded the Bulls 49-41, but it wasn't enough. Through the 1st quarter of play, the Sixers jumped out to a big early lead, 27-14. In the 2nd quarter the Bulls reversed all that great Sixers energy and went into the half leading 45-40. In the 3rd quarter the Bulls upped their lead to 12, with the score 70-58. In the 4th quarter, the Sixers posted a furious final charge, but after cutting the Bulls lead down to 3 with 21 seconds to play, they ran out of steam as Chicago hit its free throws down the stretch and hung on for a 100-97 victory. So the Sixers drop to 14-23 overall, but remain in 4th place in the Atlantic division.
