EAGLES NEWS
On day 2 of the 2011 NFL draft the Eagles got some help for their secondary. With the 54th pick of the draft, they selected Temple S Jaiquawn Jarrett and with the 90th pick they Utah State CB Curtis Marsh. Jarrett is an intentse SS in the Brian Dawkins mold who is willing to rush QB, stuff the run and, drop back into coverage. He should fit into the Eagles secondary nicely and could very well start for the Birds at SS in the near future with Quintin Mikell's future in doubt. Marsh as Mel Kiper would say, can just flat out play and the Eagles believe he has the upside to be a start someday, maybe even next season. So all in all it was a solid first couple days of the draft for the Eagles.
