Facing elimination and well, the humiliation of getting knocked out of the playoffs early as the #2 seed, the Flyers rallied back twice before Villie Leino's put back about 5 minutes into OT sealed a 5-4 victory and a trip home for a decisive game 7. Before that the Flyers came out flat again in the first period and quickly found themselves behind 2-0. Finally with about 5 minutes left in the first period Danny Briere snuck one by Ryan Miller to cut it to 2-1. It was 3-1 by the end of the period thanks Thomas Vanek's second power play goal of the game. Just 49 seconds into the 2nd period Claude Giroux and James Van Reimsdyk hoaked up to cut it to 3-2. 8 Minutes later Briere scored again this time on the power play to knot it things up at 3, only to watch Nathan Gerbe beat Boucher on a breakaway as the defense collapsed around him. It took over 10 minutes in the 3rd period before Scott Hartnell finally jammed home the Flyers second equalizer of the night to eventually force overtime.
