With their backs to the wall again in a decisive game 7 at the Wells Fargo center the Flyers saved their best for last. They just absolutely dominated the Sabres in this one from start to finish. Brian Boucher was solid stopping 26 of 28 shots and the defense was great holding Buffalo to just those 28 shots on goal and just 1 for 4 on the power play. Meanwhile, Danny Briere and Claude Giroux each had a goal and an assist in the early going as the Orange and Black raced out to a 3-0 lead in the early going. Later about 2 minutes into the 3rd period Ville Leino blasted a slap shot past Ryan Miller for a 4-0 lead. Miller was then taken out of the game by the desperate Sabres, in favor of Jhonas Enroth. He didn't do much better. After Buffalo finally scored to cut it to 4-1, Dan Carcillo deflected one past Enroth for a 5-1 lead and that was about all she wrote as the Flyers cruised from there for a 5-2 win. It remains to be seen who they will face in the conference semifinals.
