A season in which the Sixers made some great forward strides came to an end tonight in Miami as the Sixers fell to the Heat in game 5. They did fight to the end though. Andre Iguodala and Elton Brand each had 22, Jodie Meeks had 12, Thad Young had 13, and Jrue Holiday had 10, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds. Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough to stave off elimination one more time. Mario Chalmers really killed them early on by drilling one three after another on his way to a 20 point night. Still the Sixers wouldn't go away and thanks to a hot streak by Iggy they found themselves down by just 1 with 37 seconds left. That was when Iggy ran out of steam though, missing a tough fade away. Miami made their free throws from there and hung on to win 97-91.
