PHILLIES NEWS

Roy Halladay was back on top of his game this afternoon, allowing just 1 run on 5 hits in 8 and 2/3rd's innings while striking out 14. Meanwhile, Ben Francisco slapped an RBI single and John Mayberry Jr. crunched an RBI double in the 6th inning, and Shane Victorino picked up his first career inside the park homer to give Halladay a 3-0 lead. After Halladay allowed his only run in the 9th, Antonio Bastardo came on to get his first save and complete the sweep of the Padres. With the win the Phils now have some breathing room in the NL East again with a 1.5 game cushion.
