It was an ugly start to the conference semifinals for the Flyers. They just didn't have it this afternoon and revenge fueled Bruins didn't let them forget it. Brian Boucher failed get through the 2nd period allowing 5 goals on just 23 shots. A lot of them weren't really his fault as the Flyer's defense just played a horrid game. Boston had far too opportunities to fire point blank shots at Boucher and then later Sergei Bobrovsky. You simply can't win like that. The Orange and Black gamely tried to make up for the bad defense with scoring, as Danny Briere, James Van Reimsdyk, and Mike Richards all scored and Claude Giroux registered two assists. Unfortunately their scoring only served to make the final score a more respectable 7-3. They'll need to regroup big time for game 2.
